The data collection for the FoMo dataset has started!

After a long summer of planning and preparation, we are excited to announce that the first deployment of the FoMo dataset has been completed! The recording took place on November 21th, 2024, right before the first snowfall of the season. Indeed, we came back to the site the next week and found the entire area covered in over 40 cm of snow!

Planning for the next months include:

  • Another deployment in the beginning of January, most likely on snowshoes!
  • An evaluation of various T&R pipelines with UofT in February

In the next blog post, we will present some recorded data, together with 3D maps of the area.
